"Wherever You Will Go" was an international hit and became the #1 song on the Billboard Adult Top 40 chart for the year, 2001. It is the second-longest-running number one in the chart's history. Outside the United States, the song topped the music charts of Italy, New Zealand, and Poland, reached number three in the United Kingdom, peaked at number five in Australia, and became a top-10 hit in several European countries.
