Winne trapt de nieuwe videoserie 'Kopstukken' van Hiphop In Je Smoel af! Hiphop In Je Smoel presenteert deze zomer 'Kopstukken', een nieuwe reeks video-portretten waarin wekelijks een belangrijke Rotterdamse maker uit de culture wordt belicht. Wie maken het verschil in de stad en hoe zetten zij zich in voor de community? Host Maria Meyer en videomaker Jahmiro Karremann bezoeken hen in persoonlijke setting én op de werkvloer. Samen gaan ze op zoek naar de intrinsieke motivatie achter het werk dat zij verzetten. De serie wordt afgetrapt met een ontmoeting met Winne. De eerste aflevering is nu in zijn geheel te zien op het YouTube-kanaal van Hiphop In Je Smoel. Winne bracht dit voorjaar zijn nieuwe album Mssyeh uit, waarop hij warmbloedig, kalm en teder een emotioneel kijkje geeft in zijn rouwproces. De eerste show rondom die plaat staat gepland op 20 juni in het Rotterdamse Annabel. Maria bezoekt hem in de studio van zijn label Couture33 terwijl hij en zijn team de show in elkaar zetten. Want hoe vertaal je de fragiele materie van een hyperpersoonlijk album naar hoe het moet klinken op een podium? “Ik ben nooit echt bang geweest om kwetsbaar te zijn. Als je goed naar Winne Zonder Strijd luistert, ontdek je waarschijnlijk dezelfde kwetsbaarheid.” Het hebben van een podium en het overlijden van Feis, met wie hij een broederschap had voor het publieke oog, heeft hem gedwongen om vocaal te zijn over zijn helingsproces. Het is nou eenmaal wat hem is overkomen: “Ik zit als maker niet in een rol. De essentie van wie ik ben en wat ik zeg, is dít. Anders zou ik constant ervoor moeten werken.” Met het bezoeken van de Rotterdamse vestiging van de Voldelgym, waar Winne mede-eigenaar van is, verschuift het gesprek naar hoe hij bezig is met zijn. Hij laat de plek zien waar hij de connectie met zijn lichaam wil versterken, dat tevens de plek is die hij Rotterdam wil bieden om bezig te zijn met gezondheid. Daarnaast beweegt het gesprek richting hoe hij in een meditatieve stand kan raken door te schrijven of te sporten. Conclusie: “Everything is spiritual.
