[Recorded September 2023] This was a totally unexpected find. Not only do we have an Amtech installation in Vegas, but we have a uniquely custom installation! I'm not sure what inspired this to happen, but I'm very glad somebody saw the beauty and importance in restoring history. This elevator is using an old brass OTIS cab that has been completely restored and worked into a functioning automatic elevator! Amtech redid the entire front of the cab but left everything else original. This elevator is also scenic and has interesting objects in between the car and window. As I was intrigued with this elevator, security was wondering wtf I was doing and when I got back down, two guards were waiting for me. They told me I can't record in here and I immediately left before they could tell me anything else. Aside from that altercation, this is a very cool elevator and I recommend anyone visiting downtown Vegas to check out this one-of-a-kind installation. Just don't stay for too long lol.
