Hey loves! I took my first solo trip to Las Vegas, Nevada for my birthday in January 2023. I checked in at the Mandalay Bay hotel resort as soon as I landed in Vegas. It was very beautiful! A 10/10 for ambience. The weather, at the time, was quite chilly unfortunately. However, it was more tolerable than my Chicagoland weather where it was snowing. This was a pretty exciting and eye opening experience for myself. I originally planned to go with a couple people but they were not able to to attend. At first, I was a little bothered but I understood, life happens so I had no hard feelings at all. I also felt like God had a calling for me to go on a solo trip for some time now, in which I was doubtful before, but this time, I took a chance. I'm so happy that I did! My first solo trip ever was to basic combat training in the Army. I figured, if I could handle that, then I can most certainly handle stepping out of my comfort zone to do something such as traveling solo to another major city outside of my local Chicagoland area. And all was worth it of course!! Just a day before my flight, I had also quit my 9 to 5 job. Since then, I've been pursuing content creating & overall tapping more into my creativity in general. I'm currently living off of my savings, enrolling into college, selling my old clothes off of Poshmark, & hoping to have obtained an internship position in the advertising industry by the end of this month of March 2023. I believe that I am of many talents & I'm choosing not waste my energy in corporations that I do not feel like they allow me to thrive in my creativity, authenticity, or to just be myself. Obviously, if my son's & I's survival needs depend on it, I will return back to the cooperate world "temporarily" but in the meantime, I am asking God to guide me towards my fulfilled purpose & I'm living through/ by faith on a daily basis.
